Tribute to Italy! Grazie Steve McCurry!

Italy as protected area day 36. Photography is one of my greatest passions and the National Geographic cover with the Afghan Girl made by Steve MacCurry is one of my favourite pictures ever. McCurry loves Italy, he has worked for many Italian magazines so he collected many pictures to tribute it, creating this video “Tribute to Italy”.

McCurry is so inspiring that you can find his covers drawed on the Florenntine streets thanks to a fantastic street artist named Tommaso Brogini: http://thetuscansunflowerguide.com/2018/12/03/street-art-in-florence-tommaso-brogini/

We cannot travel but McCurry’s pictures are an incredible homenage to my Italy, the most important highlights like Venice, Ischia but even hidden gems like the province of Rieti. But above all Italian people, Italian eyes… so a wonderful way to come back and travel!

Every country has its own reasons and this sentence on the video just represents us” The Italian ethos is based on living well and to the fullest”. It is simply our way and joy of living, that’s it!.

And the music is “Nessun Dorma” from Giacomo Puccini’s Turandot.

Grazie Steve McCurry !
