It should be Springtime…

(Italy as a protected area day 11)

Italy as protected area day 11….Yesterday I didn’t write anything: news, feelings were really massive. Number of positive cases augmented all over the country and even the number of death people, making Italy the country with the highest outbreak outside China.

The pictures and the videos of the Italian army transpots 70 coffins because there is no place in Bergamo cementery are so hard to see…these people died without the confort (if you call call it this way) of their families, their familes couldn’t tell them goodbye….

I can suggest you two articles to understand more about this…

From The Guardian ” A generation has died’: Italian province struggles to bury its coronavirus dead” https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/19/generation-has-died-italian-province-struggles-bury-coronavirus-dead?CMP=fb_gu&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook&fbclid=IwAR3bUze85MgR92B81vpMZBDIkloUpb5e3cpEL2hhy08q5ZjxtVz_TgHdNgM#Echobox=1584601517

From Newsweek ; “ITALIAN ARMY TRANSPORTS DOZENS OF COFFINS OUT OF CITY AFTER CREMATORIUM OVERWHELMED WITH CORONAVIRUS DEATHS” https://www.newsweek.com/coronavirus-italy-bergamo-army-bury-dead-1493194

And today it is the beginning of Springtime. Normally I would have been out doing my work, showing people Florence, Lucca, Livorno…around. Normally I would have gone to the local food market picking up the season products, normally I would have gone walking by the sea…What fantastic words are normal..daily..common.. our life.

Today at 11 am our most important radio broadcast services, the public and the private ones, played our national anthem, “Fratelli d’Italia” (we could translate it as Italian brothers). Quite everybody . And if you look at our windows and balconies you find flags. We normally shows them for our national celebrations like Liberation day or World Soccer Championships. Now this is more than this!

Very close to my local supermarket I found this two Italian flags hanging from their windows, quite embracing Saint Mary. And you can only hope all this is going to end soon all over the world

Io resto a casa, Stay Home, Yo me quedo en casa, Je reste chez moi!
