Zucca everywhere! Autumn and its warm colours and seeing them in a food market is like a confort zone area for the soul. Pumpkin is one of the base of Tuscan cooking and personally I really love or better adore rice with pumpkin. You sit in front of this orange plate, you smell it, you watch it and of course you eat it!

I am not a good chef but I love everything about food so if you look for a good Tuscan recipe have a look at Juls’Kitchen.  Giulia Scarpaleggia is one of the best Italian food blogger, she is from Colle Val d’Elsa, in the Tuscan Countryside (capital letters of course!) and one of my personal resources for my food tours! Many information, many tips and a personal touch:  I have first mat Giulia many years ago for a cooking class, if I remember well one about biscuits. She was moving her first steps in the food blogging world but she has never lost her genuine way of approaching life and her passion for food. In the meantime her blog has became even more popular, she met her companion Tommaso and “Juls Kitchen” became a reference food blog for the people that loves Tuscan food!

Ok let’s go back to pumpkin! It is Sunday lunch time so I would like to suggest you one of Giulia’s recipe: sorry I am not a good chef so I need her help:  rice timbale with pumpkin and sausage

One of my sould food! I told you, I am not a good chef but there is something about cooking, putting “le mani in pasta” (using your hands to prepare meals) gives you a sense of life. And in case you need a Tuscan vacation but you are not in Tuscany, this is a good way to have one 😉
